Mr Dowen is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon currently working at South Tyneside & Sunderland foundation trust (STSFT) with a subspecialist interest in hip and knee replacement surgery, particularly revision and complex primary hip and knee musculoskeletal disorders. He has a busy elective practice and also maintain an active interest in general trauma which comprises a significant proportion of his current work.
